ABOUT THE COMPANY

Fathom have a story to tell.

Whether through innovative new writing, or reimagining classic plays for the fast-paced digital age, Fathom Theatre explore the worlds we inhabit, the people we become, and the experiences that shape us. Founded by MA Classical Theatre alumni Jasmine, Sara and Hannah, Fathom share a love of Shakespeare, tea, and a jolly good yarn.

So come in, sit down – we’ve put the kettle on. There’s always time for a story…

THE COMPANY

The company was created in 2015 almost by accident when we came up with the idea to create our three-women-one-puppet version of Twelfth Night. This high energy production with some pretty intense hat-swapping, underpinned with live music including traditional sea shanties, as well as original music we've created especially for the show tour for 2 years.

We were honoured to be chosen to perform Twelfth Night as a part of the summer season at the RSC's open air space The Dell in Stratford-upon-Avon in August 2016, where we were blessed with fine weather and lovely audiences.

In October 2017 we performed Twelfth Night for the last time and in 2018 we started a long process of research for our second show Ada: Poetry in Numbers about the life of Ada Lovelace. We are now in the process of writing the show but due to Covid production has been delayed until 2022.

While we wait to be able to fully realised Ada: Poetry in Numbers we have been working on our first show for very young children Bella & The Butterfly which are currently in the R&D process for.

We can't wait to get both these shows out and touring in the near future!!

For more info on our shows, schools workshops, or just for a lovely chat, why not like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and Instagram, or send us a message via our Contact page - we'd love to hear from you!
